Amtrak’s 2018 schedule for the Crescent Line has many glaring issues. Some notable issues are the train schedule’s baffling organization and the complete lack of visual hierarchy. A train schedule having poor design presents significant problems as riders need something that is immediately understandable. Otherwise it leads to confusion/frustration, which leads to even more difficulty in understanding. This project had us redesign the schedule entirely. 

My redesign puts the most important elements up front and removes baggage. I used a simpler color scheme that is bolder, more clear, and on brand for Crescent. Some of the schedule for the train and bus lines are on the front page and the symbol key is much larger. The back page also has a nice map of the train line for riders to see their route.
